Spider-man 3
Well, at least it caps off the movies as a trilogy. Unfortunately, a bit too much melodrama for its own sake sort of made this thing a mess. I really didn’t need the Sandman in there, I also didn’t need to have Eddie Brock’s plot end in this movie. It would have been pretty easy to snip out those two bits, keep Eddie Brock as a Peter Parker subplot, and just dealt with finishing off the Goblin story arc.
I dunno, it was all sorts of okay connecting all those fun action sequences, but nothing to really woot about. The butler bit near the end was just sad. THAT’s how you resolve a three-movie arc?! Wow.
So, yeah — if you haven’t seen it, which actually might make you the minority if the box office reports are correct, I’d hit the matinee. It’s not worth a full ticket price, not even for my favorite Marvel superhero.
Ah, well, on to the Fantastic Four (truth to tell, I was more excited about this anyway — cheesy fun, sure… but c’mon… the Silver Surfer only means the BIG GUY is not far behind).
