King Kong

Long but entertaining. Funny of me to say, but the action scenes could have been shortened (and some taken out altogether) to get the story a little tighter. It’s an enjoyable movie, and I didn’t really find myself yawning or anything, but yeah, long.

Nothing like scheduling a trip to New York just in time for an MTA strike.

Nothing like scheduling a trip to New York just in time for an MTA strike.

That reminds me, from LBA it’s 102S to LB Bl, Willow Station, then Blue to Green to Aviation then Rapid 3. Should take about an hour and a half, be home by 4:30.

  1. mom Says:

    or do primetime

  2. linus Says:

    $3 versus $30. 1.5 hours versus 1 hour.

Yeah. Right. I’ll take the extra half hour.

  3. mom Says:

an extra half hour and struggling with your luggage through public transpo…

  4. linus Says:

    Yeah. Struggle. Right.

Syriana

I liked it. Too much plot, too little in-depth character development, but so was Traffic, so it’s just this dude’s thing.

Well this’ll be an interesting Christmas season.

Well this’ll be an interesting Christmas season.

I see dad this Saturday in Palmdale. I (maybe) go down to San Diego the next Saturday for a Christmas party with the VW/Audi crowd. The following Saturday I head up to San Francisco for a China abroad program reunion. The Saturday after that, being Christmas Eve and therefore Sun’s birthday, I spend with her before heading to mom’s in the evening. Then Christmas Day I hop on a plane to New York and get back on Friday in time for New Year’s Eve, which amazingly enough, remains unscheduled. I might just stay home after all that, though. That’s nuts.

  2. Leroy Says:

Could you please urge your compadres in the city not to burn it down if Tookie gets toasted (or injected)? -Leroy

  3. Leroy Says:

Tookie is not a reason to come up on gifts for Christmas.
