HP iPaq H1935

Finally, I own a handheld. I’m forcing myself to use Pocket Outlook and Microsoft Money (obviously, the handheld is a PocketPC, not a PalmOS). I wanted to use it to read codes off the car, too, but this handheld’s has no serial port. Sheesh. I’d return it, but considering I got it for all of $135, I really can’t complain. The model I want that has the same form factor but with a serial port is the H4155… which is, oh, $265 more. Sure, it comes with Bluetooth and 802.11b, but I really don’t care about that. I want a serial port… guess I’ll just wait to pay $125 for it when someone makes an SDIO adapter.

Whatever. Anyhow, the most use its gotten is me on the bus or in bed, reading an eBook. Very handy, that.

In case anyone wondered: no, there is no Anti-Valentine from me this year.

In case anyone wondered: no, there is no Anti-Valentine from me this year. I realize that I’m breaking a rather old tradition, but to be honest, I don’t have a use for it.

2004 marks the first Valentine ever where:

A. I was with someone
B. That someone was next to me

It is unfortunate that my past experiences never quite managed to get me to such a happenstance, but that is how that particular cookie happened to crumble. Be that as it may, the past weekend marks the very first, and I therefore proclaim hiatus to my Anti-Valentine tradition.

In case anyone is interested, that day is hell on trying to eat out. It’s rather ridiculous, and Sun found it perplexing to the point of annoyance. In the end, she found it utterly delightful that I suggested we celebrate with a very nice meal at King Taco on Alvarado and Pico.

Not your typical idea of romancing the girl, but for me, it turned a frown into a smile. And that, frankly, is the whole point anyway.

are you trying to say that you tried to eat out without making reservations in advance?

Barbershop 2: Back in Business

Fun. Not as fun as the first one, but fun. It’d've been way better were it not for:

1. Blatantly advertising Beauty Shop, which is on course to suck ass.

2. Flashbacks concerning the L and a woman, whose conclusion leaves little… well, leaves nothing, to be desired.

But yeah, fun.

Ah, the beauty of convergence.

Ah, the beauty of convergence.

What lies ahead?

A three day weekend, beginning with a flying lesson, followed by a lovely dinner out with my girl. Then after a tummy scratching Sunday, the car goes to the shop and has its power output saved to a data file to be used in the reprogramming of its fuel map.

Lovely.
